As the new Co-Executive Directors, we are thrilled to share the Winter issue of The Progress Report with you, featuring updates on our expanding curricula, new hires, and our latest video. Give it a read and let us know what you think!

At Live It Learn It, we spent the summer updating our curricula to align closely with DCPS units, building out donor engagement and long-term organizational strategies, cultivating our anti-bias anti-racist principles, and spending quality time with one another outside our work days (truly a gift!).

We anticipate this new school year will be one for the books – and we are so excited that you are a part of it with us! As you’ll read in The Progress Report, we have many exciting updates to share with you. From new faces to new partnerships, the fall is brimming with possibilities! Thank you for standing alongside us as we continue to adapt and grow as a staff to better serve our students.

Despite an ongoing pandemic throughout School Year 21-22, we adapted our programming model to always be as accessible as possible for our partners. We provided 154 experiential learning opportunities to 11 schools, 73 teachers, and over 1500 students this past year.

Truly, it has been a productive year, and I so appreciate you for walking alongside us during these exciting and also unexpected times. I wish you a safe and restful summer and look forward to connecting again soon. Until then, enjoy our latest issue of The Progress Report featuring many updates within our organization!

Your investment in our work continues to provide experiential learning opportunities in imaginative ways for both students and teachers. As we carry on this spring, we are proud to have you by our side.

The latest issue of The Progress Report showcases many changes and updates at LILI. There are fresh new faces we are delighted to welcome, as well as some new roles for veteran staff; our outstanding 2021-22 cohort of Experiential Learning Fellows; in-person programming innovations, and ways for you to continue investing in our students, teachers, and schools. We are delighted to be back in schools once again, and look forward to the year ahead!

That’s a wrap! If we have learned one thing from this past year it is that we are creative and we are resilient, and we will find a way — whether virtual, hybrid, or in-person — to bring the joy of experiential learning to DC students.

This issue of The Progress Report highlights our Spring Soirée and other recent events with our partners in and around DC. We are excited to continue building our mission throughout the summer with program offerings, anti-racism training, and our Experiential Learning Fellowship.
